Super high-energy vocalist, Dan Caguiat (born 24 May, 1971) has been playing guitar since the age of 9 and singing since the age of 15. His vocal abilities, which were perfected during his role as lead vocalist of the early 1990's metal band, Hydeaway, include singing full-voice across three complete octaves, writing and singing powerful, soulful ballads, and covering a wide variety of songs from a number of solid male vocalists including Billy Joel, George Michael, Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses, Stryper, Foreigner, Maroon 5, and Journey.
After the break-up of Hydeaway in 1992, Dan attended college from 1994 through 2004 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania. During his time in school, Dan taught guitar at a local music shop and played in a youth group band.
In 2004, Dan, Mark Eckstein, and Bob Christman reinvented Hydeaway as an energetic, fun, cover band. Hydeaway has been performing in the Cape May, NJ area since and continues to pack dance floors by playing songs from a number of genres including modern rock, metal, 80's rock, 80's pop, R&B, country, and blues.
